Mission Street have established a market-leading and rapidly growing Science and Innovation platform.
The current portfolio comprises over 1.5 million sq ft of committed projects in key strategic locations within Oxford, Cambridge and Bristol. Our innovative schemes and campuses are being developed speculatively with the first phases being the next available lab space in the respective locations.
Mission Street was founded in 2017 as an independent investor, developer and operator of Science and Innovation real estate. The company has since established itself as an industry leader working in conjunction with a highly experienced Advisory Board who bring invaluable insight and expertise from the perspective of our customers.
Why did you choose to build in Oxfordshire? What is your connection to Oxford/Oxfordshire?
Developing the most centrally located Urban Innovation Districts in Oxford. Pioneered the 'West End' district of Oxford – catalysing 2.5m sq. ft development pipeline of academic and commercial innovation development.
Developing the largest 'blank canvas' Urban Innovation District in the Golden Triangle.
What big problem are you trying to solve, and why does it matter?
We believe that future economic prosperity will be underpinned by growth and investment in scientific and emergent 'knowledge economy' industries.
How can you support — or be supported by — the Oxfordshire ecosystem?
Local employment and procurement commitments to ensure contractor and sub-contractors can engage local workforce throughout construction. Ongoing programme of school's engagement to inspire future generations to consider careers in STEM (science, technology, engineering and maths).
Developing community partnerships during design and construction phases to enable long-term value to be embedded in the operation of the scheme.
Providing new café/restaurant for Public and Occupiers, breaking down tangible barriers typically associated with Science buildings to realise 'Science on Show'.
